こちらの10歳～15歳の少女は、PCF UK(Purple Centers Foundation)が援助しています。宗教には無関係な慈善団体なので、彼女らは産児制限〔妊娠や出産を制限したり調整したり〕を利用する権利があります。ハッピーランドでは12歳ほどの若い女の子が普通に妊娠しています。よりよい生活の可能性は根本的にこの問題を終わらすことです。
These girls, aged 10~15, are helped by PCF UK. Because this is a secular, not a religious charity, they have access to birth control. In Happyland and Aroma, girls as young as 12 are commonly walking around pregnant. Potential for better lives is basically over at this point.

私たちは寄付金の残りの4,700ペソをスモーキーマウンテンの女の子に30枚の下着と25枚の肌着に、300ペソを午前8時半から配るのを手伝ってくれたPCF UKのボランティアの方へのコーヒーと麺(食事)に使いました。
We used the last 4700peso of the donated funds on 30 shorts and 25 shirts for girls on Smokey Mountain, plus 300 peso for coffee and noodles for the volunteers from PCF UK who will help distribute them at 8:30am.

Jocelyn (center) is paid staff with her four volunteers at PCF UK. She raises eight children by herself in the Happyland squatter camp, where she herself was born.
Four of the children she raises are her sister’s, who died giving birth. Her sister had three husbands. The first two died in knife fights, a common cause of death in Happyland.
Jocelyn left her own husband to protect her children from his drug addiction and its effects.
